About the Role

The Category Portfolio Manager is a key member of the InfraBuild Procurement leadership team, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement. This role is responsible for leading all commercial aspects of relevant portfolio spend, providing strategic leadership to source, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships to drive commercial outcomes
  • Lead the Portfolio Category Team, providing coaching and mentorship to ensure team success
  • Ensure portfolio spend contract coverage is maintained, with regular commercial testing
  • Develop and implement action plans to deliver best overall outcomes
  • Champion the current supply network design, model choice, utilization, equipment, and continuous improvement programs
  • Manage risks associated with external spend, including commercial, contract, supplier dependency, financial, safety, service, and reputation

Requirements:

  • 20+ years of strong commercial experience, managing complex high-spend relationships
  • Proven experience in delivering effective commercial outcomes and contract management
  • Strong knowledge of category management
  • Proven people leadership skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to interact at all levels, including EGM/Board
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, organization, and prioritization skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset
