About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environment Specialist to join our team at Graymont Limited. As a key member of our site leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and environmentally responsible operation of our Mole Creek lime processing plant and quarry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective safety and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and investigations to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety and environmental procedures.
- Collaborate with site leadership and regional managers to achieve safety and environmental goals.
- Develop and maintain quality management systems to ensure ISO 9001 certification.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in WH&S and environment management or equivalent.
- High level of knowledge of relevant regulations and acts.
- Experience in implementing and auditing quality management systems.
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and hold a valid driver's license.
