**About the Role**

The HSW Business Partner is responsible for driving the proactive implementation and continual improvement of Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) culture, strategy, plan, and performance across a region.

Striving to advance Team Global Express’s (TGE) business strategy through enabling a unified culture of safety, people, customer focus and operational excellence the role is responsible for providing practical HSE advice and support to our people and delivering initiatives that continually improve our HSE culture and performance in line with our ‘Genuine Care Culture’ strategic priority.

**What you'll do**:

- Engage in the HSE cultural change program, including provision of support and initiatives to line management to achieve the goal of genuine care workplace.
- Develop and review Site HSE Plans, in partnership with key business stakeholders ensuring alignment with Team Global Express HSE Plan and assist the business in achieving all objectives and targets.
- Participate in management review and management of change activities, as required.
- Promote and support excellent customer relations; attend and participate in customer HSE forums.
- Refine and implement communication plans to disseminate information in relation to HSE including but not limited to HSE Learnings, HSE Alerts, HSE Management System updates and TGE Reporting and Compliance System (TRAC) to ensure our people are kept informed
- Provide accurate and timely HSE performance reports to business leaders.
- Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs that enhance the understanding and effectiveness of the HSEQ Management System, risk management, safety leadership, hazard reduction, TRAC and HSE continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular site HSE inspections with business stakeholders to drive improvements on site conditions.
- Conduct incident investigations using appropriate methodologies to ensure determination of root cause and timely corrective action; review all other incident investigations and assist business stakeholders as required.
- Assist with the development/ review of risk assessments (or similar) ensuring correct completion and alignment with TGE requirements.
- Support business leaders with any site licence conditions or returns required.
- In conjunction with business leaders, assist with the planning and coordination of emergency preparedness and business continuity activities, including training and emergency response exercises.
- Be prepared to undertake any other task that may be reasonably required from time to time for which you are capable of performing.

- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and / or other relevant discipline
- Tertiary HSE qualifications (highly desirable)
- 4-6 years practical experience in a HSE role with a focus on transport and logistics (preferable).
- An understanding of business, issues and restraints faced by line managers in implementing HSE processes and programs.
- Prior experience in participating in third party audits and corrective action planning.
- Internal Auditor qualifications - IRCA, Exemplar Global or equivalent (desirable)
- Detailed knowledge of HSE legislation, industry standards and management system standards (ISO 45001/45003 & ISO14001).
- Ability to exercise sound judgement in the interpretation and analysis of HSE legislation and audit criteria.
- Excellent written and communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with fellow team members, management, stakeholders and industry experts and write high quality reports.
- Experience in conducting incident investigations using ICAM or similar methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others including legislators, external auditors, accreditation bodies, industry experts.
