About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Health Safety Environment & Quality Specialist to join our team at Graymont's Mole Creek lime processing plant and quarry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, environment management, and quality systems, with experience in implementing and auditing quality management systems against ISO 9001.


Key Responsibilities



  • Drive improvements in health and safety culture and working practices through direct interaction with work teams.
  • Investigate and report on safety and environmental incidents and develop recommendations for prevention and recurrence.
  • Develop and implement injury management and medical surveillance programs, return to work programs, and work cover investigations.
  • Maintain the site safety management system to ensure compliance with state mining regulations and company procedures.
  • Conduct environmental sampling, review results, and report on site compliance to regulatory and environmental license conditions.
  • Accompany auditors and regulatory inspectors during on-site inspections and oversee corrective actions.
  • Deliver training to employees on quality-related company procedures and develop and coordinate site rehabilitation activities.
  • Report and investigate customer complaints and conduct internal quality system audits.

Requirements



  • Tertiary qualifications in WH&S and environment management or equivalent.
  • High level of knowledge of relevant regulations, acts, and working with government regulators.
  • Experience in implementing and auditing quality management systems against ISO 9001.
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills and high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to constructively manage internal and external stakeholders to create substantial change.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Right to live and work in Australia.
