Industrial Relations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Relations Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to develop your career in Employee and Industrial Relations.

As an Industrial Relations Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the ER/IR function on various workplace matters and initiatives.

Your primary focus will be on managing a portfolio across multiple business units, leading and managing enterprise bargaining negotiations, and creating strategic bargains through benchmarking, trend assessment, and comparative analysis.

You will engage with key internal and external stakeholders, provide support on compliance matters, assist with workplace investigations, and maintain accurate records of interactions and case management activities.

This role requires strong analytical skills, good ability to work with Excel spreadsheets and data, and great time management with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.

IR experience in a blue-collar workforce is viewed favourably.

About the Role

  • Manage a portfolio across multiple business units.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Law.
  • Previous experience in a similar role providing ER and IR advice to team members and leaders, with demonstrated knowledge of employment-related legislation, industrial instruments, and Modern Awards.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in interpreting industrial instruments (enterprise agreements and awards), HR policies and legislation, and providing advice to team members and leaders regarding outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with good ability to work with Excel spreadsheets and data.
  • Great time management with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
