Lead a high-performing mining engineering team as the Mining Engineering Manager at an underground coal mine in the Hunter Valley.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of mining engineering standards and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to optimize performance and achieve long-term success, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Champion workplace health and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Manage effective communication and reporting processes, engaging with stakeholders and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Cultivate positive relationships within site teams, promoting teamwork and cooperation.
  • Plan and schedule production to optimize output, contributing to business growth and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Hold a NSW Mining Engineering Manager Certificate or equivalent.
  • Possess 10+ years of mining experience, including 3+ years in underground longwall mining.
  • Have 5+ years of operational management and supervisory experience.
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in mining engineering or a related field (desired).
  • Be eligible for a valid NSW explosive security clearance (desired).
  • Hold a current Australian driver's license.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
