**Job Overview**

 

We are seeking an experienced Mining Engineering Manager to join our team. This role involves developing and supervising mining engineering standards and procedures for the Ashton Coal Operation.

 

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for:

  • Championing safe work practices and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations;
  • Managing and reviewing effective standards for statutory inspections, communication and reporting;
  • Engaging with Statutory Regulators and Industry Safety and Health Representatives as required;
  • Cultivating positive relationships within site teams;
  • Ensuring detailed planning and scheduling to optimise production;
  • Contributing to strategic growth and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Requirements include:

  • A NSW Mining Engineering Manager Certificate (or equivalent), or the ability to obtain one within 6 months;
  • 10+ years mining experience, with at least 3 years in underground longwall mining (mandatory);
  • 5+ years in operational management and supervisory roles (mandatory);
  • Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering or related discipline (desirable);
  • Valid NSW explosive security clearance (formerly UHL) (desirable);
  • Valid Australian drivers license; and
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
