Job Details

As a Technical Officer, you will provide technical support and advice to ensure the effective operations of teaching programs. This involves allocating materials and resources, maintaining outdoor teaching spaces, machinery, and equipment to support program delivery.

You will also maintain occupational health and safety practices in accordance with legislation, and collaborate regularly with other technical officers to uphold standards and consistency.

To succeed in this role, you must have strong computer skills across systems, including Microsoft and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as physical requirements to perform required duties.

A sound understanding of occupational health and safety issues is essential, along with experience in stock control, basic financial control, and data collection.

Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for building customer relations and service standards.

Requirements

  • Relevant verified vocational qualifications in a trade at Certificate III level or higher in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, or Bricklaying sector.
  • Current Victorian Driver's licence.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools required for delivery in all 3 sectors - Horticulture, Landscape Construction, Bricklaying.

About You

Conduct hands-on technical activities using tools like skid steer and excavator.

Meet physical requirements to perform required duties.

A sound understanding of occupational health and safety issues is required.

Experience in stock control, basic financial control, and data collection is also necessary.

Work in a team while also being able to work independently using critical thinking skills.

Maintain good customer relations and service standards using interpersonal and networking skills.
