Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Specialist to join our Melbourne facilities team.

This role will see you supporting the facility management team with day-to-day operations of the data centre by providing high-quality technical maintenance and customer service.

  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of facility rules and ensure adherence at all times.
  • Assisting with customer equipment installations.
  • Delivery of cabling needs, electrical and data, to customer racks and areas.
  • Attending to remote hands requests ensuring they are delivered within the SLA.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of all core electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Assist in the production of various operational and customer reports.
  • Ensuring that facility problems are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with fibre optic cabling.
  • Excellent customer service, communication skills and most importantly, a can-do attitude.
  • Good knowledge of critical infrastructure in a data centre.
  • Good planning, organising and analytical skills.
  • TAFE Cert in Telecommunications.
  • Candidates must be Australian Citizens due to security clearances required.
