Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Operations and Technical Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying operational requirements and opportunities for improvement, designing and building an operating model that utilises new technology and best practice processes, and gathering information to ensure that our IT environment is fit for purpose.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of key operational processes, including backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery, as well as the ability to operate in a multi-disciplinary team and manage complex systems. Prior technical sector experience is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify operational requirements and opportunities for improvement
  • Design and build an operating model that utilises new technology and best practice processes
  • Gather information to ensure that our IT environment is fit for purpose
  • Analyse and provide solutions to system issues to improve stability and prevent incidents
  • Work with vendors to improve service and remediate issues
  • Identify emerging and current operational risks and develop effective approaches to manage them
  • Support effective change management practices and put in place automation of operating procedures and monitoring capabilities
  • Ensure that all systems are risk managed and align with the architectural strategy and meet cybersecurity requirements
  • Function as an effective, positive team member and maintain active knowledge of work health and safety practices and procedures

Requirements:

  • Relevant Business Technology qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of key operational technologies and processes
  • Ability to operate in a multi-disciplinary team and manage complex systems
  • Prior technical sector experience (desirable)
