Senior Speech Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to lead and support our therapy team in providing evidence-based clinical services. The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing and treating clients, as well as managing client onboarding and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the therapy team to deliver high-quality clinical services.
  • Assess and treat clients in the clinic or via Telehealth.
  • Manage client onboarding, including conducting initial assessments and developing treatment plans.
  • Attend weekly team meetings to discuss client cases and engage in professional development.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and external health professionals.
  • Occasionally visit clients in the community.
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner, including progress notes, reports, and letters.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist.
  • SPA membership.
  • Current Working With Children Check.
  • National Police Check.
  • Full Australian Working Rights.
  • Eligibility for Medicare Provider Status.
  • Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
  • Ability to work independently and seek clinical guidance as needed for safe and quality practice.
  • Organisation and time-management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of evidence-based practice.
  • Commitment to professional development.

Desirable criteria include experience working with the NDIS, supervising junior staff and/or students, and working with external multidisciplinary teams.
