The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating calendars, utilizing court document processing systems, and corresponding with parties and practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to Registrars and Judges, including maintaining and updating calendars.
  • Utilize court document processing systems, including elodgment and casetrack.
  • Correspond with parties and practitioners, including regarding Registrar listings.
  • Book venues, travel, accommodation, and other requirements for remote or regional Court proceedings and Registrar travel.
  • Attend and support Court proceedings and mediations in remote or regional locations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Selection Criteria

  • High-level administrative and organizational skills.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with limited supervision.
  • Ability to use electronic information systems and information technology.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Eligibility

Employment with the Federal Court of Australia is subject to the conditions prescribed in the Public Service Act 1999. Interested candidates who have received a redundancy benefit from an APS agency are welcome to apply, but note that they cannot be engaged until their redundancy benefit period has expired.
