This role is part of the National Measurement Institute (NMI), which oversees Australia's national measurement standards.

Effective management of a dynamic team and coordination of operational plans are key responsibilities in this position.

A relevant qualification for this role includes a Certificate IV in Government (Trade Measurement) and Certificate IV in Government (Investigations).

Key capabilities required include:

  • In-depth knowledge of legislative frameworks, decision-making processes and departmental guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and contribute to regulatory activities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with an ability to initiate and maintain relationships
  • Able to lead and motivate a diverse team, ensuring a positive and engaged work environment
  • Able to establish strong working relationships across departments and stakeholder groups
