Senior Fabrication Coordinator

This role involves coordinating and supervising a team of skilled tradespeople to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of fabrication activities. The successful candidate will have proven leadership experience and strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 3834, and AS 5131 requirements.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They will have the ability to train, support and develop apprentices and junior team members.

  • Fabrication and dimensional checks as required.
  • Assist with daily planning, scheduling, and coordination of workshop activities.
  • Mentorship, guidance, and leadership to Boilermakers, Fitters, TA's, and Apprentices.
Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance with quality management systems, welding quality requirements, and structural steel fabrication standards.
  • Maintaining certification within workshop operations.
  • Monitoring work output to ensure quality standards and client requirements are met.
  • Driving a positive safety culture and ensuring adherence to HSEQ procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Sheet Metal Worker.
  • Proven experience in heavy and light fabrication.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a workshop or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 3834, and AS 5131 requirements.
