About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Junior Planner to join our Womenswear team. The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting trends, creating collections that inspire, and driving growth through strategic planning.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior management to drive departmental growth and align strategies.
- Manage the BUB process and work closely with Buying to meet deadlines and ensure brand strategy aligns with department goals.
- Own forecasting and present reforecast meetings.
- Prioritise workload during peak planning periods and ensure direct team's tasks are completed efficiently.
- Review performance and provide recommendations for areas to focus on, grow, or reduce.
- Set up tools and reporting to enable the buying team to make data-driven decisions.
- Mitigate risk by identifying problem areas and taking proactive measures.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, or tools within the department.
- Develop a mid- to long-term strategic view to drive growth and profit for the department.
- Suggest actions based on potential future concerns informed by economic or social trends.
- Work closely with the Planning Manager and Buyers to maximise season profit.
- Monitor all facets of the department, implement plans for underperforming categories and brands, and identify opportunities to maximise potential.
