Senior Womenswear Business Leader

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Category Manager for womenswear is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy that drives commercial success and brand competitiveness. This includes leading national and own-brand sourcing, range development, and negotiations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customer insights and market trends, enabling them to inform the BIG W strategy and contribute to the company's overall goals.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop seasonal ranges that meet or exceed business plans.
  • Develop and maintain supplier and product reference data to ensure efficient operations and brand integrity.
  • Establish and manage financial performance metrics, including post-season analysis and stock optimization.
  • Determine pricing strategies for regular and promotional periods to maximize revenue and profitability.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a strong background in womenswear, with experience managing high-profile brands and categories. They should also have a proven track record of exceeding financial KPIs, including sales growth and profitability. Additionally, they should have extensive experience as a commercial buyer, managing significant clothing categories in revenue and volume.
