About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Talent & Culture Manager to join our team at NOVOTEL. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in shaping our company culture and driving business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Talent & Culture Strategy: Prepare, communicate, and implement the annual Talent & Culture strategy to support business goals.
  • Drive Employee Engagement: Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives to boost retention and performance, working collaboratively with senior leaders to create a positive workplace culture.
  • Manage Internal Communications: Oversee the internal communications function to support employee engagement with creativity and flair.
  • Workforce Planning: Partner with department heads to assess staffing needs and optimize workforce planning.
  • Talent Acquisition: Recruit for senior positions, ensuring communication with Regional Talent & Culture to leverage national/international talent pools.
  • Talent Acquisition Process: Oversee the end-to-end talent acquisition process, prioritizing the candidate experience.
  • Talent & Culture Policies: Develop, review, and implement Talent & Culture policies and procedures to support effective people management practices.
  • Employee Relations: Manage employee relations functions, including industrial relations, award interpretation, employment contracts, position descriptions, performance management, and rewards management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor team members, offering guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Training & Development: Conduct annual Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and prepare a hotel training strategy to meet operational needs.
  • Indigenous Employment: Actively support Accor's Indigenous Employment and Engagement strategy.
  • Performance Management: Supervise the implementation of the Management and Talent Performance Review System, recommending development strategies to improve performance and potential.
  • Rewards & Recognition: Manage rewards and recognition programs, ensuring effective promotion around the hotel.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field, with proven experience in senior-level HR management roles.
  • Experience: Experience within the hospitality sector an advantage, with a strong understanding of HRIS systems and employment laws and regulations.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to managing diverse functions in a fast-paced setting.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to build collaborative relationships, foster a unified leadership approach, and maintain high professional leadership standards.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, with flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets.
