Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the efficient management of delivery teams, ensuring seamless execution of daily routes while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

You will be responsible for coordinating team schedules, fostering a culture of safety, and promoting adherence to COVID-19 protocols. Strong leadership skills are essential in motivating your team to deliver exceptional results.

A strong focus on physical fitness is required, as equipment handling and manual labor are integral aspects of this position. A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are mandatory requirements.

About Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support local delivery team members
  • Support recruitment with 2nd round interviews to ensure great fit with team
  • Attend team leader meetings with Logistics Manager fortnightly
  • Hold monthly meetings with your team to cover OH&S procedures, 'valet delivery' expectations, team recognition, and team building
  • Roster to ensure coverage over the week
  • Check timesheets accurately and submit for approval for payroll fortnightly
  • Ensure team follows OH&S policy, including wearing gloves when handling crates, completing weekly van checks, etc.
  • Set up bed and props on site, ensuring all in working order, clean, and customer satisfied
  • Support maintenance when requested
  • Lead large commercial installs, ensuring YR team represents in a friendly and professional manner
  • Brief demonstration of key elements of the bed to customer
  • Prepare for following delivery shift where appropriate
  • Comply with traffic laws and safe use of equipment/driving van/etc.
  • Identify and manage delivery team members underperforming in their role and failing to meet daily allocated run sheets
  • Vehicle maintenance and incident reporting responsibilities
  • Vehicle monthly clean

About Your Skill-Set & Experience:

  • Valid car licence with own transport essential
  • Clean driving record required
  • Experience in the gyM/Furniture removals industry a plus
  • Forklift licence a bonus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Friendly, helpful, honest, and customer focussed with a proactive attitude
  • Eager to learn and embrace change with high level of professionalism
