Purpose of the Job

To be successful in this position you would provide leadership and management all Refrigerated fleet activities at Team Global Express Refrigeration Melbourne.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Efficient organisation and management of all depot PUD staff and resources.- Ensure local fleet organisation and structure is operating as planned and in line with nominated guidelines.- Promote a positive and proactive safety culture.- Responsible for all Maintenance and servicing of vehicles and equipment ensuring it is carried out in line with OEM guidelines including a robust Fleet Maintenance System for servicing and Defective Vehicle Repairs- Ensuring vehicles and equipment are suited to evolving customer requirements.- Manage customers operational expectations - Including timeslots adherence, container volumes, DIFOT and weekly/daily meetings.- Plan and forecast equipment requirements to ensure pickups can be completed on time in full.- Cost accountability of the fleet department including Overtime and Sub Contractor costs in line with volume fluctuations.- Ensure the accurate preparation of Service, Cost and Productivity KPI's for the fleet.- Prepare fleet reports in a format agreed to by the Operations Manager Fleet.- Ensure Fatigue and Mass Management regulations are understood and adhered to by Fleet Allocators and Drivers. Including management of any breaches that may arise.- Conduct 6 monthly performance reviews with Fleet Controllers.- Oversee manpower planning in line with volume expectations, leave requirements etc.;- Ensure drivers are met on return to the depot and daily feedback on issues documented.- Ensure all vehicles and drivers are fully licensed for correct duties.- Help to negotiate suitable pickup and delivery time frames with customers.- Review service failures in terms of missed pickups and nil attempted deliveries.- Assist in the development of IT systems to enable better fleet management.
