Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our team. As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality science education to students in Years 7-12.

The successful applicant will have a passion for improving the learning culture and have high expectations for student achievement. They will also be able to provide quality Christian science education, integrate faith and learning, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a Christ-like example in the classroom and college community.
  • Exercise Christian servant leadership with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
  • Perform day-to-day duties prayerfully and consistently with a Biblical lifestyle, aiming to bring glory to God.
Professional Knowledge and Skills
  • Understand and cater to the diverse needs and backgrounds of students.
  • Utilise knowledge of child and adolescent development to inform teaching practices.
  • Know the content and how to teach it, implementing effective strategies to convey complex concepts.
  • Apply a Biblical perspective to content knowledge and teaching strategies.
Student Wellbeing and Pastoral Care
  • Provide emotional and spiritual support to students.
  • Develop and implement programs that promote student wellbeing within the wellbeing strategic plan.
  • Act as a mentor and role model for students, providing guidance and support.

Requirements
