Job Opportunity

The role of a Health and Physical Education Specialist is to educate and inspire high school students in the areas of personal development, health, and physical education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Take proactive responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of secondary students.
  • Undertake training and professional development as required to stay current with latest developments.
  • Support staff in all aspects of the school's processes and procedures as needed.
Main Accountabilities
  • Demonstrate a Christ-like example in the workplace ensuring that:
  • Christian servant leadership is exercised with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
  • Perform daily tasks prayerfully and consistently with a biblical lifestyle with the aim of bringing glory to God.

Effective communication techniques are crucial when delivering lessons, including adapting communication style to suit different learning needs and abilities.

A strong understanding of the NSW PDHPE syllabus, effective lesson planning, and ability to deliver engaging and inclusive instruction are essential competencies for this role.

This position requires a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing a supportive learning environment.

A strong team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.

Promote a culture of respect, inclusivity, and diversity within the school community.

Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and school policies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching Health and Physical Education at high school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the NSW PDHPE syllabus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
