Secondary Learning Support Educator

Description:
The Secondary Learning Support Educator plays a critical role in collaborating with the Learning Support team, secondary teachers, students, and parents to create an inclusive environment that enhances individualised student learning, engagement, and wellbeing. This educator will liaise with the Head of Student Learning and Support to provide individualised interventions for students, guide teachers in planning and implementing learning interventions, and develop curriculum to meet the diverse needs of Secondary school students.
This educator will ensure that the emotional and social support is being provided to students, promote positive learning experiences, and maintain open and respectful communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress. The educator will also participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training as required, and contribute to moderation of NCCD activities on data collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Learning Support team, secondary teachers, students, and parents to create an inclusive environment
- Provide individualised interventions for students
- Guide teachers in planning and implementing learning interventions
- Develop curriculum to meet the diverse needs of Secondary school students
- Maintain open and respectful communication with parents and caregivers
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training as required
- Contribute to moderation of NCCD activities on data collection
Requirements:
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Christian education
- Have experience in working with students with diverse needs
- Be able to work collaboratively with the Learning Support team and secondary teachers
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
