Sample Collector Professional

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to collect blood, swabs, and other pathology samples from patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying patient information and test requests, collecting samples following established protocols, and ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, they must have a strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify all details on pathology requests, including patient information and test requests.
- Collect blood, swabs, and other pathology samples from patients following established protocols and procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort and care throughout the collection process.
- Safely label, package, and transport samples to the laboratory for processing.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and samples collected.
- Uphold infection control and hygiene standards at all times.
- Provide clear communication and support to patients regarding the collection process.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient service.
- Manage the safe disposal of clinical waste and used equipment.
- Maintain and stock collection equipment and supplies as needed.
