Pathology Collector Role

As a skilled and compassionate pathology collector, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and building strong connections with local communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention to detail.
  • Maintaining meticulous records for every patient and sample, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Liaising with various stakeholders, including customers, clinic staff, and couriers, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in phlebotomy or a related field, such as certificate III in pathology collection or a healthcare background.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy and understanding.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Able to travel to multiple clinics and adapt to changing situations, with flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have permission to work in Australia or hold a valid visa.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and making a meaningful impact in the community.

Vaccination Requirements:

  • Hepatitis B vaccination is a requirement for this role, demonstrating a commitment to patient safety and well-being.
