We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Underground Drilling Equipment Specialist.
The RoleThis position is responsible for servicing, maintaining and fault finding on underground Diamond Drilling equipment.
- Servicing, maintenance and fault finding on drill rigs
- Ensuring all servicing, repairs and testing is completed and paperwork returned to scheduler
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on drill rigs
- Maintaining underground drilling equipment to ensure optimal functionality
- Coordinating with teams and communicating effectively to ensure seamless drilling operations
- Participating in ordering and maintenance of relevant parts/stock
- Managing costs and quality of repairs being undertaken
- Daily completion report and submission of time sheets
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on drill rigs
- Identify and diagnose technical issues with drill rigs
- Repair and maintain drill rig components as needed
- Coordinate with teams to ensure smooth drilling operations
- Manage inventory and order parts as required
- Monitor and control costs associated with repairs
- Submit daily reports and time sheets
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience working on drill rigs, preferably underground
- Basic hydraulic & electrical diagnostics and component rebuilds
- Effective troubleshooting and quick problem resolution skills
- Current manual C Class Driver License
- National Police Clearance (within last 6 months)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screen)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safety standards and hazard identification
- Attention to detail and time management
