Job Title:

Experienced Underground HD Fitters/Technicians

Job Description:
  • CARRY OUT SCHEDULED SERVICING TO MOBILE EQUIPMENT IN A SAFE MANNER AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROCEDURES, REGULATIONS, AND THE RELEVANT SERVICE SHEETS.
  • Mentoring, Coaching and Developing National Trades Personnel.
  • UTILISE SKILL AND EXPERIENCE TO CREATE MINIMUM DOWNTIME ON MACHINERY.
  • Evaluate and Record Maintenance Data Accurately.
  • MAINTAIN A HIGH LEVEL OF HOUSEKEEPING IN WORKSHOP AND WORKING AREAS AT ALL TIMES.
  • Read and Interpret Service and Spare Parts Manuals.
  • Report Equipment Faults to the Maintenance Foreman for Scheduling into the Workshop Weekly Planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven Passion for Safety and a Proactive Attitude Toward Ensuring that Safety is Front of Mind for All Employees at All Times.
  • Experience in Training Less Qualified Tradespeople to a High Standard in a High Productivity Underground Contracting Mining Environment.
  • Strong Background Working with Latest Generation SANDVIK, CAT, and Atlas Underground Mobile Equipment and Associated Automation Systems.
  • At Least 5 Years Post Apprenticeship Experience Working Within the Underground Mining Industry on Large Mobile Equipment.
  • High Degree of Knowledge and Skill in Troubleshooting Problems on Electric Hydraulic Drilling Equipment.
  • Good Knowledge of Loader and Truck Maintenance.
  • Competent on Auto Electrics, Hydraulic Circuit Schematics, and Diesel Engine Maintenance.
  • A Self-Starter Who Will Work with Minimal Supervision.
  • An Excellent Service and Maintenance Approach to the Job.
  • An International Driver's License.
