About Freight Operator Role

This role involves coordinating train movements within a busy yard environment. The successful candidate will be involved in shunting duties, examining and certifying trains for departure, and working in accordance with operational standards.

About You

You are keen to commence or continue a career in the rail industry. Key requirements include:

  • A strong focus on safety and great people skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work a rotating shift roster, including early starts, nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Superior teamwork skills
  • Able to work outside for long periods of time
  • Ability to meet CAT 1 Rail Medical Assessment and other pre-offer checks
  • Current unrestricted Class C drivers' licence
