About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Support Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Austin Health. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a supportive team of professionals who are passionate about providing best practice care for patients.

As a Support Patient Care Specialist, your duties will include participation in food services, cleaning of patient and staff areas, patient movement around the ward and across the hospital, and restocking of imprest items and stock distribution. You will also be responsible for participating annually in the Austin Health Performance Appraisal Program and mandatory training programs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to supporting optimal patient experience. You will also need to possess a PSA Certificate – Certificate III in Health (Patient Services) and be willing to work in a hospital environment with sick people.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible attitude, ability to use initiative and prioritize tasks and problem solve, and be physically capable of undertaking the full range of PSA duties. Previous PSA experience is also desirable.

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
