About the Role

Ampcontrol is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSEQ Business Partner to join our QLD Operations team based in Mackay. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to the QLD Operations team on HSEQ matters, including risk management, compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Develop and implement HSEQ improvement initiatives to drive a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Facilitate site hazard and risk management activities, including incident reporting and investigation.
  • Monitor statistics, identify trends, and deliver action plans to improve HSEQ performance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety, environmental, and quality records and registers.
  • Coaching and supporting teams in process improvement implementation.
  • Visitor and contractor inductions.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Qualification in Health & Safety (min Cert IV WHS), or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge of QLD WHS legislation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels of an organisation.
  • Return to Work Coordinator qualifications and experience.
  • Incident investigation experience (eg ICAM).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable).
  • A strong passion for delivering safety and quality.
  • Ability to undertake occasional travel within Australia.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
