Mastermyne's long-term project is seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Coordinator to join the team. This project is based in the Moranbah region and is a flagship project for Mastermyne, known for living out the behaviours that reflect our culture - The Mastermyne Way.

In addition to a safe work environment and great culture, our project manager and his site-based management team do an amazing job of developing our people and helping them to ignite their learning journeys. Many of our supervisors, coordinators, and projects across our business started their underground careers working under the strong and supportive leadership of our project manager and now continue to 'grow our own' on their own projects.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager and with the support of a broader HSEQ team, the HSEQ Coordinator will be expected to carry out the following key responsibilities:

  • Providing HSEQ services to projects and contributing to the attainment of the HSEQ objectives of the Mastermyne Business Plan;
  • Working in a consultative manner and participating in the development of HSEQ projects and plans;
  • Ensuring plans are communicated to the project team;
  • Implementing and administrating HSEQ processes and systems to meet legislative, client, and Mastermyne requirements;
  • Providing high-level HSEQ advice on practices and services to Mastermyne personnel.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • A tertiary Occupational, Health, Safety, and Environmental qualification;
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
  • A Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator certification preferred;
  • The ability to utilise investigative and audit tools and processes;
  • A minimum of four years' experience in a HSEQ Management/Coordinator Role;
  • Underground Coal Mining Industry experience is preferred;
  • An in-depth understanding of HSEQ legislation and standards;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
