Job Summary

As a skilled orthotist, you will provide clinical assessment and orthotic services to inpatients, outpatients, and community clients. Your expertise will support the clinical management of junior staff and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with diverse orthotic needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Utilize on-site manufacturing, 3D scanning, and access to local 3D printing to create innovative orthotic solutions.
  • Manage an efficient caseload, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with referrers.
  • Contribute to a collaborative service environment and uphold safety and quality standards.

 

Qualifications and Experience
  • Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa).
  • Experience as an Orthotist; knowledge of paediatric, CP, neuromuscular, scoliosis, and high-risk conditions is desirable.
  • Strong orthotic fabrication and manufacturing skills; ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to work in a team and participate in ongoing professional development.

 

Eligibility and Compliance
  • This is a NSW Health Category A position requiring immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to NSW Health OASV Policy for required vaccines.
