Water Resources Engineer Position Overview

A Water Resources Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the planet's health and well-being by developing solutions to address water-related challenges. As we navigate increasing flood frequency, droughts, and storms, it's crucial to build resilience and lead proactive approaches.

Our organization is committed to innovative thinking and action, working collaboratively with diverse teams of specialists to drive change globally.

We seek an experienced Water Resources Engineer with 2-10 years of experience to join our Water Group. This role involves leading water resource studies, managing multidisciplinary projects, and supporting junior staff development.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or equivalent, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in GIS, rainfall-runoff models, and advanced excel skills.

  • Lead water resource studies, including water balance and quality assessments, and option studies, for infrastructure projects of varying scales.
  • Manage multidisciplinary projects, maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating with stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.
  • Support the development of junior staff, providing guidance and feedback to help them develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Bachelor of Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of Australian water quality guidelines and application of these guidelines in water resource projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, ideally including proficiency in GIS, rainfall-runoff models, along with advanced excel skills.
