We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Specialist to join our team. This role will involve enhancing your capabilities and contributing to the success of our Mine Water group.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with talented professionals on iconic projects, driving future-ready outcomes that benefit clients and communities.
You will be part of a global team of over 5,200 dedicated mining professionals working together to decarbonise mining operations in the accelerating green transition.
Responsibilities- Assist in conducting rainfall, flow and flood assessments, including modelling, mapping, flood mitigation design, and risk assessments.
- Support the development of existing Mine Water group capability in stormwater management and flood studies (in both mining and urban environments).
- Conduct water management-related studies and investigations from pre-feasibility through to detailed design.
- Collaborate with teams across hydrogeology, geotechnical, civil and environmental disciplines.
- Prepare technical reports and supporting proposals for various mining clients.
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field with a strong focus on hydrology and hydraulics.
- 3+ years' experience in water engineering, ideally with exposure to the mining or resources sector.
- Technical capability in water balance modelling, flood studies, and drainage design.
- Proficiency with hydraulic and flood modelling software (e.g. HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, and MIKE).
- Excellent technical writing skills with experience in proposal writing and technical reporting.
