Lead a Thriving Academic Environment

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Academic Leader to join our team at a leading co-educational Catholic campus in Melbourne's west. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic direction of our school and driving student success.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance to teachers and staff within the year level. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans, assess student progress, and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

As an Academic Leader, you will also be expected to:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with teachers, students, and parents to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Mentor and support staff to improve teaching practices and student outcomes
  • Collaborate with other leaders to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and policies
  • Monitor and report on student performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A tertiary education qualification and relevant experience in teaching and leadership
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with staff, students, and parents
  • A passion for improving student outcomes and a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration and accreditation to teach in a Catholic school
