Lead a Passionate Team in Enabling Education

We are seeking an accomplished Academic Leader to spearhead our Enabling Programs team, driving excellence in academic administration and teaching. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a dedicated team of academics, manage key programs, and contribute to the success of our students.

About the Role

The Lecturer, Enabling Programs will be responsible for leading the Enabling Programs team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality academic programs, and fostering a collaborative environment. As the Subject Coordinator for various subjects, you will oversee grading, student support, and maintain subject role-overs. Your expertise in online learning environments will be invaluable in developing and implementing innovative pedagogies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Enabling Programs team, providing strategic direction and guidance
  • Develop and implement effective academic programs, ensuring alignment with University goals
  • Manage key programs, including the Tertiary Preparation Program (TPP) and Aspire Prepare
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the University, particularly Admissions, to ensure seamless student experiences
  • Maintain subject role-overs, ensuring continuity and quality in program delivery
Selection Criteria
  • PhD degree or equivalent accreditation, recognized by the University/profession as appropriate
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development, and subject coordination in online modes
  • Experience working within University policy and procedural environments, including academic administration tasks
  • Emerging or established engagement with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, particularly in areas such as supporting academic skill development and innovative online pedagogies
  • High-level oral and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven experience in managing academic staff performance and development
