Accounts Receivable Officer Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused individual to join our finance team in a fast-paced Accounts Receivable role. In this position, you will be responsible for managing debtor collections, processing daily cash receipts, and resolving account queries with customers and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage debtor collections and daily cash receipt processing
- Resolve account queries with customers and sales teams, including credit limits and overdue accounts
- Process credit applications and assess customer credit worthiness
- Reconcile debtor accounts and general ledger monthly
- Generate reports including cash forecasts, bad debt reviews and held order reports
- Maintain accurate records, issue invoices, credit notes and monthly statements
- Working across different accounting systems
- Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve AR processes
About You
- Experience in end-to-end accounts receivable, ideally in high-volume environments
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for spotting errors and inconsistencies
- Confident, curious, and proactive in resolving issues and following up
- Resilient and well-organized, especially under pressure
- Strong communicator with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and with suppliers
- Comfortable working with ERP systems
- Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems and processes
