About this role

Koala is seeking an experienced 3D artist to lead the development of realistic furniture renders for industrial design and marketing purposes.

Reporting to the Head of Creative, you will be responsible for crafting visually stunning, detailed, and operational digital representations of Koala's award-winning furniture.

Responsibilities

  • Create realistic 3D renders of furniture industrial designs with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Develop highly detailed and realistic fabrics and materials to enhance the realism of the renders.
  • Work closely with designers and engineers to ensure each model meets specifications and design requirements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling visual assets for promotional materials and marketing campaigns.
  • Gather information to create models, including sketches, drawings, photographs, and video.
  • Oversee and maintain a library of furniture models built in collaboration with Cylindo.
  • Manage the day-to-day project management and workflow of 3D Assets for Koala with both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in 3D rendering and industrial design.

Requirements

  • An expert in 3D modeling with the ability to accurately replicate furniture to provided specifications.
  • An exacting eye for detail and a passion for creating highly detailed and life-like fabrics and materials.
  • Proven experience as a 3D artist specializing in furniture industrial design with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Proven experience in developing and optimizing materials libraries.
  • Experience working with the Chaos platform and a strong understanding of web-based AR platforms.
  • Familiarity with Cylindo is preferred.
