Role Overview

Koala is seeking an experienced 3D artist to lead the development of realistic furniture renders. Reporting to the Head of Creative, you will be responsible for crafting visually stunning, detailed, and operational digital representations of our award-winning furniture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create highly detailed and realistic 3D models of furniture industrial designs, focusing on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Develop and optimise materials library, creating accurate and richly detailed materials and textures to represent products.
  • Work closely with designers and engineers to ensure each model meets specifications and design requirements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling visual assets for promotional materials and marketing campaigns.
  • Gather information to create models, including sketches, drawings, photographs, and video.
  • Oversee and maintain a library of furniture models built in collaboration with Cylindo.
  • Manage the day-to-day project management and workflow of 3D Assets for Koala with both external and internal stakeholders.

Ideal Background

  • Expertise in 3D modelling, with the ability to accurately replicate furniture to provided specifications.
  • Exacting eye for detail and a passion for creating highly detailed and life-like fabrics and materials.
  • Proven experience as a 3D artist specialising in furniture industrial design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Experience working with the Chaos platform, with a strong understanding of web-based AR platforms.
  • Familiarity with Cylindo is preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
