Job Title: Air Operations Coordinator

Air operations coordinators play a vital role in driving engagement and execution excellence across air operations. They work closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve processes, coordinate daily execution, conduct problem-solving activities, and communicate status updates to management.

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment to support daily execution activities. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual comfortable working in a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with internal and external partners to ensure standard practices are implemented and executed;
  • Conduct necessary deep dives to resolve issues;
  • Ensure freight is lodged as per industry standards;
  • Support booking of air freight and labeling as required;
  • Oversee handling and screening of freight as required;
  • Communicate status updates, delays, risks, and other issues to management;
  • Monitor air routes to identify potential issues that could impact performance;
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and conduct regular analysis of processes to prevent recurrence of issues;
  • Develop reporting templates to capture key metrics including arrival time, dispatch, rejections, and delays;
  • Participate in daily calls as required;
  • Lead by example fostering a culture of safety, customer obsession, and ownership.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Intermediate level knowledge of Excel (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.);
  • Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements;
  • Ability to use good judgement in challenging situations;
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (including email management, report writing, and ability to prepare and analyze data);
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet business needs;
  • Willingness to travel to and work at various locations as required;

Other Information:

  • Relevant program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience is desirable;
  • Experience with SQL is highly desirable;
  • Fulfill government background checks to qualify for an Aviation Security Identification Card;
  • Able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or Customs security badges if applicable.
