This role is focused on ensuring seamless air operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate will drive engagement and execution excellence across our air operations, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve processes, coordinate and drive day-to-day execution, conduct problem-solving activities and communicate status updates to management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with internal and external partners to ensure standard practices are implemented and executed;
- Conduct necessary deep dives to resolve issues;
- Ensure Amazon freight is lodged as per industry standards;
- Support booking of air freight and airway bill labeling as required;
- Oversee handling and screening of Amazon freight as required;
- Communicate status updates, delays, risks, and other issues to management;
- Monitor air routes to identify potential issues that could impact performance;
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations and conduct regular analysis of processes to prevent recurrence of issues;
- Develop reporting templates to capture key metrics including arrival time, dispatch, rejections, and delays;
- Participate in daily calls as required;
- Lead by example fostering a culture of safety, customer obsession, and ownership.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
- Ability to use good judgement in challenging situations
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (including email management, report writing, and ability to prepare and analyze data)
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet business needs
- Willingness to travel to and work at various locations across Sydney as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of relevant program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience
- Experience with SQL highly desirable
- Fulfill government background checks to qualify for an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
- Able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or Customs security badges, if applicable
