Job Description

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial stability of critical services within the state.

You will provide high-level business partnering support on financial and FTE performance, enhancing financial, operational, and departmental outcomes. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Leading Divisional Budget Cycle: Ensure accurate and timely completion in line with departmental guidelines.
  • Monthly Performance Review Meetings: Participate actively, providing insightful variance analysis and identifying key opportunities for improvement.
  • Forecasting and Risk Management: Prepare and present regular full-year forecasts, flagging potential financial risks and developing recommendations to maintain budget integrity.
  • Servicing Level Agreements: Manage and provide oversight of Service Level Agreements and funding arrangements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff and executives to review financial performance and inform business decisions.
  • Mentoring and Coaching: Contribute to the mentoring and coaching of junior finance team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess excellent financial analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

A degree in Accounting or a related field is highly desirable, along with relevant industry experience.
