Senior Occupational Therapist Role Overview

This senior occupational therapist role provides a holistic and expert occupational presence at Bungarribee House, supporting consumers on B22 at Blacktown Hospital as part of a multidisciplinary recovery team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert assessments and therapeutic programs for B22 consumers
  • Supervise and mentor Level 1/2 Occupational Therapists
  • Lead individual and group-based occupational interventions
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary planning and review meetings

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Substantial experience working in mental health preferably in an acute setting
  • Experience in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic groups
  • Ability to be self-motivated, operate autonomously and cooperatively within the team
  • Experience in providing a range of occupational therapy-based assessments and documenting these in clear professional and practical reports
  • Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team cooperatively to establish clear care plans with complementary goals in a recovery-oriented model
