Job Title: Policy Officer

Transport for NSW is seeking a skilled Policy Officer to join our team in Sydney, NSW. As a Policy Officer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of transportation in NSW.

About the Role

This is a 12-month temporary opportunity with the potential to extend. You will work within the Safety, Policy, Environment and Regulation division, leading a broad program of freight policy development and regulatory reform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and undertake the development and implementation of policy initiatives and reforms related to freight.
  • Research, analyse and review complex policy issues, identify emerging issues, develop evidence-based options, and recommend solutions to resolve problems and mitigate risks.
  • Work across the cluster and with industry stakeholders to identify needs, address gaps and develop policy options and solutions to keep goods moving across NSW.
Requirements

We are looking for individuals who are proactive, have the ability to work collaboratively across the team and have exceptional written communication skills. Some experience within a Policy role in government is desirable along with relevant tertiary qualifications.
