Job Title

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Permanency Support Specialist.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to vulnerable children and their families, helping them achieve permanency and a stable home environment.

  • Visiting clients in their homes and working collaboratively with carers, families and service providers to help children reach their goals.
  • Documenting children's progress and milestones, and contributing to the development of effective case plans.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with community networks and partners to enhance outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field, or equivalent experience and qualifications.
  • Sound interpersonal, facilitation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a high-performing team.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document complex information and develop effective reports.
  • An understanding of the issues facing vulnerable children and their families, and a commitment to ensuring their safety and well-being.
