Job Summary:

The Works Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of contract services at BGIS. Reporting to the Contract Operations Manager, this position is responsible for supervising sub-contractors and self-perform works to meet or exceed client maintenance contract obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily supervision of sub-contractors and self-perform works.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual arrangements and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct frequent audits to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage all work types under the Contract – Responsive, Planned & Project works.
  • Provide guidance to client personnel and subcontractors.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service, holding regular customer meetings and providing prompt feedback.
  • Assess and report on subcontractor performance.
  • Prepare monthly reports, analyzing KPI and technical performance.

Requirements:

  • Technical expertise and trade training in a building-related profession.
  • Technical and commercial competencies in domestic building.
  • Extensive experience in the domestic building industry.
  • Experience in supervision and monitoring of subcontractors.
  • Financial skills for managing high-volume maintenance contracts.
  • Proven ability to prepare reports and maintain data.
  • Full understanding of OH&S regulations and Building Code of Australia.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with quality systems.
