A challenging role awaits a skilled CSSD Supervisor

At Newcastle Private Hospital, we are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated professional to join our CSSD team as a CSSD Supervisor. As a key member of our Perioperative Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the management of our CSSD Department.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management of the CSSD Department, including the supervision of staff and the maintenance of a safe and efficient work environment. You will act as an advocate for our Quality Management System and promote best practices in sterilisation and infection control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend to the operational management of the current CSSD Department within the Perioperative Services area
  • Act as an advocate for our Quality Management System and promote a safe work environment
  • Support your team to achieve a streamlined operational management
  • Meet relevant standards and best practices consistent with the CSSD specialty area

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience working in a senior role within a CSSD
  • Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation
  • Sound knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 Standards and HICMR
  • Demonstrated ability to show leadership and the ability to work with a wide range of people in a team environment
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases
  • An interest in promoting best practice patient care
  • A focus on professional development
