Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced hospitality professional to lead our Cloncurry, Queensland location as a Regional Motel Operations Manager.

This key role requires a high level of motivation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As an onsite manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective motel operations, delivering superior customer service, and maximizing profitability.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations across front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance departments.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and communication to staff, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
  • Meet and exceed targets by optimizing sales, revenue growth, and cost control strategies.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for business development and implement effective marketing plans.
  • Manage employee performance, recruitment, induction, training, and development to ensure the highest standards of quality and service excellence.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, resolving issues efficiently and fairly.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against operational goals, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action.
Essential Requirements:
  • A strong background in hospitality operations, including staff rostering, cost control management, and inventory control.
  • RMLV and Approved Manager (Queensland) qualifications, with previous experience in large regional motels.
  • Expertise in room sales and online channel booking management, with knowledge of current market trends and best practices.
  • Experience managing large food and beverage operations, including menu planning, purchasing, and inventory management.
  • A good understanding of housekeeping operations, including cleaning protocols, linen management, and waste reduction strategies.
  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues, guests, and external partners.
  • A passion for success and a willingness to relocate to support business growth.
