Job Summary

The Lead Asset Management Engineer plays a pivotal role in overseeing the council's water and sewerage asset portfolio, ensuring reliable services to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a diverse team of professionals in water and sewerage asset management, balancing cost, performance, and risk within the Water Directorate.
  • Develop and implement strategic asset management plans, monitoring and reporting on asset performance and risk to ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks.
  • Guide asset monitoring and reporting functions, supporting the delivery of major projects and renewal programs.
  • Contribute to the alignment with NSW Government Strategic Planning Assurance Framework for Local Water Utilities and other key regulatory requirements.
  • Provide high-quality customer service and create value for the community through effective leadership and communication.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience with ongoing professional development.
  • Extensive experience in planning and managing water supply and sewerage infrastructure, including current knowledge of design, construction, and operation of water schemes.
  • Understanding of asset management principles and strategic planning for water and sewerage infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including effective communication, coaching, mentoring, diversity, and change management.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence outcomes for the organization.
