Overview

Lead Engineer Asset Management at Central Coast Council. Leads a diverse team of professionals to manage the water and sewerage asset portfolio, supporting the community with reliable services and ensuring value across assets worth over $3B.

Role focuses on balancing cost, performance and risk across the Water and Sewerage Directorate and aligning with regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a diverse team of professionals in water and sewerage asset management.
  • Develop and implement strategic asset management plans; monitor and report on asset performance and risk.
  • Guide asset monitoring and reporting functions; support delivery of major projects and renewal programs.
  • Contribute to alignment with the NSW Government Strategic Planning Assurance Framework for Local Water Utilities and other key regulatory requirements.
  • Provide high-quality customer service and create value for the community.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Engineering or related field, or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, with ongoing professional development. Additional asset management accreditations are desirable.
  • Extensive experience in planning and managing water supply and sewerage infrastructure, with current knowledge of design, construction and operation of water schemes.
  • Understanding of asset management principles and strategic planning for water and sewerage infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated leadership with effective communication, coaching, mentoring, diversity, and change management; ability to build strong relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Ability to build credible relationships and negotiate towards beneficial outcomes for the organisation.
Other information
  • Salary range: $111.1k to $133.6k + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance (in accordance with the Award) + 12% Superannuation. A market loading may apply based on skills and experience.
  • Permanent full-time role with a 9-day fortnight and hybrid flexibility (2 days from home, 3 onsite).
  • Location: Wyong Administration Building.
  • Leaseback vehicle provided for official duties; vehicle allowance available if vehicles are not available.
