The Rural Locum Assistance Program plays a pivotal role in bolstering rural workforce capacity by providing essential healthcare services to underserved regions.
We are seeking seasoned and qualified professionals for short-term placements in aged care and community settings across rural Australia.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivering personalized care and support to clients with diverse needs, including those with dementia and high care requirements.
- Developing, coordinating, and implementing tailored care plans aligned with individual client goals.
- Supporting clients with mobility issues, including safe operation of manual handling equipment.
- Collaborating with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Maintaining accurate, timely documentation in line with organisational standards.
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and culturally respectful environment for clients and colleagues.
- Certificate III (or higher) in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, or Disability.
- Qualified and experienced professional, with a minimum of three years' experience working in community or residential aged care.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or recent experience in aged care, including dementia care and manual handling (hoist operation).
- Current Australian driver's licence, and access to a registered vehicle with a minimum of third-party insurance.
- Current Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People registration, or willingness to obtain prior to placement.
